Even movement across France has been permitted easily. This would enable friends and families to be together once again who were separated amid the pandemic.
Previously the four countries had shut their borders to curtail the spread of this virus. All these four countries are members of the 26 European states comprising the Schengen Area.

All sorts of travel had come to an end. Numerous people had to face the wrath of COVID-19. Only Swiss citizens with work permits were allowed entry. Previously there was an unimpeded movement. There was a swift movement of all tourists.
The twenty-six European countries are used to allow hassle-free travel. Just catch a train from Berlin to Basel prior to COVID-19. It was actually very easy. Tourists would frequently move from Geneva to Paris without any restrictions. The train from Vienna to Zurich was also easy to catch.
Relief for couples
Austria, Germany, and Switzerland are permitting some movement of people and giving certain relaxations. People have been given the freedom to move across and meet their near and dear ones. However, a self-declaration form is mandatory.
